Job Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned and results-driven Regional General Manager to lead and oversee our comprehensive express delivery operations within the [e.g., Southeast Asia] region. This pivotal role holds full Profit & Loss (P&L) responsibility and is charged with driving sustainable growth, operational excellence, and superior customer experience. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the logistics landscape, possessing the leadership prowess to expand our market presence, optimize our network, and lead a high-performing regional team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership & Business Growth:
* Develop and execute the regional business strategy aligned with the company's global objectives, focusing on market penetration, revenue growth, and profitability.
* Conduct thorough market analysis to identify new business opportunities, emerging trends, and competitive threats.
* Lead the expansion of the company's service portfolio and geographic coverage within the region.
* Build and maintain strong, strategic relationships with key enterprise clients, strategic partners, and local authorities.
2. Operational Excellence & P&L Management:
* Hold full accountability for the regional P&L, including budget planning, forecasting, and cost control to achieve financial targets.
* Oversee end-to-end express operations, including pick-up, sorting, linehaul, customs clearance, and last-mile delivery, ensuring efficiency, speed, and reliability.
* Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize the regional network, reduce operational costs, and enhance service quality.
* Ensure strict adherence to global security, safety, and compliance standards, as well as local regulations.
3. Commercial & Market Development:
* Drive the regional sales and marketing strategy to acquire new customers and increase wallet share from existing accounts.
* Set competitive yet profitable pricing strategies for the region.
* Champion a customer-centric culture, ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
* Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and media engagements to strengthen the brand's regional presence.
4. Team Leadership & Organizational Development:
* Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing regional team, including sales, operations, finance, and HR functions.
* Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence across all country operations within the region.
* Identify and nurture future leaders, implementing effective succession planning.
5. Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
* Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for the region and monitor performance against targets rigorously.
* Provide regular, comprehensive reports to global headquarters on regional performance, market dynamics, and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements:
* Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is highly preferred.
* Experience:
* Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive leadership experience in the logistics, express parcel, or supply chain industry, with at least 5-7 years in a senior regional or multi-country P&L leadership role.
* Proven track record of successfully growing a business unit in a competitive international market.
* Deep, hands-on knowledge of express logistics operations, including cross-border transportation, customs procedures, and last-mile delivery models.
