About Butter

Butter is the app for people who want to actually do things — morning runs, dinner parties, Tuesday ceramics, the lot. We help the best hosts make their social plans happen, and the best guests find them, show up, and meet new people. We're live in two cities, growing fast, and the people using Butter are obsessed with what we're building.

The role

This is a hands-on partner success and growth role. You'll bring the best clubs and creators in Melbourne and Sydney onto Butter, then work alongside them to design, run, and grow their community and revenue on the platform. Think customer success and partner enablement, with a growth brief attached.

You'll become the primary owner of the AU partner side — working directly with the founder, with real ownership from day one. Strong partner retention, growing event attendance, new names in the portfolio: all of it sits with you.

This is a 4-day/week fixed-term contract, with the option to join us at our coworking space at The Commons.

What you'll own

* Partner growth — building and managing a pipeline of clubs and creators across Melbourne and Sydney, leading outreach and first conversations
* Onboarding — taking new partners from sign-up to their first live event within 14 days, owning the journey end-to-end
* Partner success — regular check-ins with your portfolio, helping partners shape their Butter strategy, reviewing performance, and suggesting experiments that grow their attendance and revenue
* Playbooks & enablement — launch playbooks, "how to run your first 3 plans" guides, templates, Looms, and checklists that partners actually use
* Community — running the monthly partner call and group channels, keeping the partner network engaged and connected
* Voice of supply — surfacing partner feedback and pain points to product, and coordinating with growth on campaigns
* Marketing execution (~20%) — bringing EDMs and social posts to life from briefs provided

Who you are

* You have 2+ years in customer success, partnerships, account management, or community — at a consumer platform, marketplace, or events business
* You combine relationship building with strategic thinking and practical, hands-on help — you'd happily review a partner's event data, then jump on a call to workshop their next plan
* You're comfortable with data — you use it to spot what's working and where to step in
* You're already embedded in Melbourne and Sydney's social and cultural scene — or you're an active Butter host who wants to go deeper
* You're entrepreneurial and proactive, and thrive in autonomous roles
* You care about helping people connect IRL. Not as a line on a cover letter — as a reason you want this job
