Cape Byron Distillery – home of Brookie's Gin, Cape Byron Whisky, Pure Vodka and Sundrift Aperitivo – is searching for a high-performing NSW Key Accounts Manager to lead growth across Sydney and greater NSW.

We're looking for a commercially sharp operator who loves building relationships, winning new business, and owning their market. This is a unique opportunity to join one of Australia's most awarded independent distilleries at a time of major category growth — particularly with our new Pure Vodka & Sundrift Aperitivo, which is one of the most competitively positioned in their categories.

This role is suited to someone who wants more than a territory: someone ready to step up, shape the state strategy, and drive meaningful commercial impact.

About the Role

As our NSW Key Accounts Manager, you will:

* Own the NSW region, with priority focus on Sydney's on-premise and independent retail channels.
* Drive new business growth, particularly first-pour vodka wins and premium on-premise portfolio partnerships.
* Build and manage a portfolio of high-value accounts: Porters, Chambers, Camperdown Cellars, key pub/hospitality groups and strategic independents.
* Lead tastings, staff trainings, menu listings, promotional programs and in-store/venue activations.
* Partner with banner groups and wholesalers to lift distribution and velocity across targeted key retailers.
* Work closely with founders, marketing and trade teams to execute state-level growth plans.
* Keen eye for detail, creating the right promotional programs and slotting boards

What We're Looking For

Must-have experience & traits:

* 3–5 years' liquor sales experience across on-premise and/or independent retail (spirits preferred).
* A strong track record in new business development, with examples of accounts you've won.
* Deep understanding of the Sydney on-premise landscape — key venues, decision-makers and influencers.
* Ability to manage state-level relationships with hospitality groups and independent retail banners.
* Commercial confidence — comfortable talking margin, pricing, volume and cost-per-pour.
* Highly organised and self-driven, with the discipline to run a state like your own business unit.
* Clear, confident communicator with strong relationship-building skills.
* Australian work authorisation is required at the time of application.

Bonus points for:

* Experience in premium spirits (vodka, gin, tequila, aperitivo).
* Bartending, ambassador, or cocktail program experience.
* Existing Sydney trade network.
