About the Role

We are seeking experienced Family Dispute Resolution Practitioners (FDRPs) who are committed to supporting separating families and are energised by ongoing learning, reflective practice, and contributing to a culture of best practice. If you thrive in an environment where curiosity is encouraged, innovation is welcomed, and community‐centred work is valued, this role offers an exciting opportunity to shape both your practice and the broader service.

As part of our skilled multidisciplinary team, you will support families to make parenting arrangements that prioritise the wellbeing and best interests of their children. You will be encouraged to bring your ideas, insights, and experience to the table, contributing to a team environment where practitioners learn from one another, share emerging knowledge, and explore evolving approaches to family law and dispute resolution.

Our family law services support families from a wide range of cultural backgrounds through innovative programs, including therapeutic Post Separation Case Management and group workshops for children impacted by separation. These programs—combined with our strong community partnerships—provide rich opportunities to engage in team‐oriented, cross‐practice work that strengthens your clinical capability while driving better outcomes for families.

About You

* Registration as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner in accordance with Attorney General's Department (AGD) requirements.
* Demonstrated experience and skills in post‐separation family dispute resolution, including clinical assessments and working with clients with difficult or complex presenting issues including family violence, conflict, loss and grief.
* Experience and skills in delivering child inclusive practice, with an understanding of issues impacting children and families during and following separation, including child development and child protection issues.
* Demonstrated excellent ability to actively collaborate, communicate clearly and respond with respect towards colleagues, clients, community partners and other professionals.
* Capacity to be flexible and adaptable in response to evolving organisational, legislative and sector priorities and requirements.
* Demonstrated ability to appraise and critically reflect on clinical work and to participate in clinical supervision.
* Demonstrated experience and skills in working with Cultural and Linguistically Diverse Communities (CALD) and with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Communities.

What can we offer you?

* Work alongside highly skilled practitioners who value shared learning, reflective practice, and continuous improvement.
* Access regular clinical supervision, peer learning, workshops, and professional development pathways that strengthen your practice and support your career aspirations.
* Structured pathways for leadership and skill growth for those who aspire to mentor colleagues, lead programs, or contribute to organisational development.
* Work across multidisciplinary programs and partnerships, giving you rich opportunities to broaden your expertise and diversify your professional experience.
* Salary packaging up to $15,900. Plus additional uncapped benefits to maximise your take‐home pay.
* Flexible working options to achieve work‐life balance with arrangements that support sustainability, wellbeing, and long‐term career engagement.
* Employee Assistance Program providing confidential wellbeing support for you and your immediate family.

We welcome applications from individuals of all ages, identities, abilities, and cultures, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples, members of the LGBTQI+ community, and people living with disabilities.

CatholicCare requires the preferred applicant to undertake a National Criminal History Record Check prior to employment, and for some roles, a Working with Children Check and/or NDIS Worker Screening Check may be required.
