Position No: ******** Work Type: Permanent - Full Time Permanent | Full-Time Level 9 | Salary: $130,298 - $138,953*, plus superannuation Vehicle Allowance of $14,000 Flexible Work Arrangements Vacancy ******** The opportunity We are in the market for an experienced and suitably qualified individual who has extensive experience providing expert industrial relations advice in matters relating to the workplace.
As the Coordinator People Advisory and Industrial Relations, you will lead a small team in the delivery of timely and accurate HR advisory services across the organisation, focussing on empowering people leaders to build capability.
You will provide strategic and expert Industrial Relations advice ensuring the City remains compliant with the Industrial Agreement, relevant legislation and policy.
You will oversee the development of policies, procedures and practices and ensure these are compliant with the City's legal and statutory obligations and employee terms, conditions and benefits.
You will contribute at a strategic level to initiatives and interventions that influence and develop a safe and constructive organisational culture and drive organisational effectiveness.
To be successful in this role, you will need: Degree in Human Resources Management and Industrial Relations or Bachelor of Laws with units completed in employment law Member of, or eligible for membership of, an appropriate professional organisation (e.g. Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI)) Minimum 7 years' experience in Human Resources Industrial Relations in local or state government.
Minimum of 7 years leading and developing HR and IR teams.
Proven experience in developing IR strategy and driving outcomes.
Expert knowledge of employment law and IR frameworks.
Demonstrated experience working in a unionised environment managing complex IR negotiations, disputes and IR matters.
Experience in preparing and advocating for matters at the Western Australian Industrial Relations Commission Experience in driving change management and continues improvement Experience in developing solutions and resolving complex workplace grievances.
Knowledge of Work, Health and Safety legislation, policy and procedures.

*The salary for this role commences at step 1, with potential for movement within the range based on demonstrated skills and experience.
Incremental progression typically occurs at the conclusion of each 12-month period, in accordance with the Industrial Agreement.
