Job Description
The position requires a hands-on engineer who can operate independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams. The role offers flexibility depending on technical strengths, with a strong emphasis on improving security posture and capability maturity.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Manage SIEM and SOAR platforms such as Splunk, including onboarding, health checks, patching and maintenance
* Perform security engineering across endpoint, network and gateway technologies
* Assist with incident response using enterprise security tooling
* Provide security engineering advice to internal stakeholders
* Develop and uplift security operations system requirements
Education / Certifications required
* Relevant qualifications in Cyber Security, Information Technology or Engineering
* Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, Security+, Splunk or vendor-equivalent are highly regarded
Knowledge / Skills required
* Strong experience in Security Engineering or Security Operations with a hands-on focus
* Experience with SIEM and SOAR platforms such as Splunk
* Knowledge of EDR, device control and application control technologies (e.g. Trellix, Carbon Black)
* Familiarity with vulnerability management tools
* Understanding of MFA, IAM and Privileged Access Management solutions such as CyberArk or BeyondTrust
