Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Clinical Nurse Specialist to provide complex case management, assessment and individual therapies for children, young people and their families in the North or Northwest of Tasmania. This role is part of a multidisciplinary team delivering high quality mental health services to children and youth.
The Role
Undertake clinical services through the provision of complex case management, assessment and individual therapies, including the development and implementation of specialised treatment programmes for Youth Mental Health, Youth Forensic Mental Health and Out of Home Care. Work with consultant psychiatrists and a collaborative multidisciplinary team to deliver person‐centred care and support to families and carers.
Responsibilities
* Deliver quality care to clients of CYMHS based on best practice principles within a collaborative multidisciplinary framework.
* Provide specialist assessment and treatment services to CYMHS clients and their families or carers.
* Promote community awareness in relation to mental health and act as a consultant to other agencies on the support and management of clients with mental health needs.
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
* Current Working with Children Registration.
* Current Driver's Licence.
* Minimum of 2 years post graduate experience relevant to the role.
* Postgraduate qualification or working towards a postgraduate qualification relevant to the role.
* Evidence‐based therapeutic interventions such as CBT, DBT, Family Therapy or ACT are highly regarded.

Salary
$109,767 to $115,813 pro rata per annum + 12% superannuation. Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% may be available based on qualification type.
