Mosaic Multicultural Connections is seeking a proactive community-minded Settlement Case Worker – Community Outreach to support newly arrived individuals and families across the Tamworth region.

This is not a desk‐based role; we are looking for someone who enjoys being out in the community.
About the Role
* Provide culturally responsive casework support
* Assist individuals and families to access services and supports
* Attend community events and outreach activities
* Build referral pathways with local agencies and services
* Engage proactively with vulnerable and newly arrived community members
* Support clients to build independence and community connection
* Maintain accurate case notes and documentation
A Typical Week Might Include
* Meeting with newly arrived families
* Attending local community events
* Helping clients navigate services and appointments
* Connecting with local employers, agencies and community groups
* Supporting workshops and group activities
* Advocating for clients and linking them with supports
About You
* Enjoy working directly with people and communities
* Are proactive, approachable and relationship-focused
* Communicate confidently and respectfully with diverse groups
* Can work independently while remaining connected to a supportive team
* Value inclusion, cultural safety and community connection
* Have experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities
* Experience in community services, settlement support, outreach, casework or community engagement
* Understanding of strengths-based and trauma-informed practice
* Hold a current driver licence and own a registered and insured vehicle
* Have Working With Children Check and National Criminal History Check
* Possess a qualification in community services, social work, human services or a related field
* Experience delivering community programmes or group activities
* Demonstrate meaningful community-focused work
* Desire to build strong local community relationships
* Flexible and able to work in a community-based environment
* Part‐time – 18 hours per week
* Fixed‐term contract: July 2026 to July 2027
