Job Description
As a Personal Care Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to residents. You will support the Home Manager and peers in ensuring that we provide excellent care at all times.
The position of Personal Care Worker is part of an integrated team working within an established framework to attend to the personal needs of residents.
Your main duties will include supporting residents to live the life they choose, contributing to their physical, emotional, and lifestyle needs, implementing clinical and care interventions as delegated by the Registered Nurse, and assisting with personal care and hygiene needs while encouraging independence.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support residents to live the life they choose allowing them to exercise choice and independence.
* Contribute to the physical, emotional, and lifestyle needs and wants of the residents, through assessment and observation.
* Implement clinical and care interventions as delegated by the Registered Nurse, and as documented in the resident's plan of care.
* Assist the residents with their personal care and hygiene needs whilst encouraging their independence.
* Document and report by exception in the progress notes, including the evaluation of interventions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
A Certificate III in Aged Care or relevant qualification is essential. Previous experience in a similar role in Aged Care is desirable. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required.
