Job Title: Data Insights Specialist
Brunel Perth, Western Australia is seeking a highly motivated professional to join an engineering-led analytics team as a Data Insights Specialist.
This role focuses on transforming complex data into clear insights on asset performance. Working with Snowflake SQL, Python, and SAP data structures, you will design high-quality data models and pipelines to support advanced analysis and strategic decision-making.
Key responsibilities include:
* Developing and maintaining Snowflake SQL data models and pipelines supporting asset performance analytics.
* Cleaning, transforming, and validating SAP maintenance, materials, and operational datasets for component reliability and lifecycle analysis.
* Developing simple reports using PowerBI and Excel to support subject-matter-expert review and user data validation.
* Collaborating with technology teams and external application developers to enable efficient data access between systems.
* Driving continuous improvement in data quality through investigation, testing, and proactive issue resolution.
* Maintaining documentation and governance across all analytical systems.
Requirements:
* Degree in Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent industry experience (3+ years) in data and analytics.
* Strong proficiency with SQL Server / Snowflake and for data modelling, transformation, and automation (essential).
* Proven experience working with SAP PM/CMMS data is strongly desirable.
* Experience within Mining Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) environment in maintenance, reliability, planning or engineering roles is strongly desirable.
* Proficiency with Python, Microsoft PowerBI and Excel (desirable).
* Familiarity with GitHub for version control, code review, and collaborative workflows.
* Strong attention to detail, documentation skills, and commitment to data accuracy and traceability.
* Demonstrated teamwork, communication skills and commitment to Health, Safety and Environment is essential.
