Skills and Experience:
* Cooking skills and atleast 1 year of relevant work experience.
* Relevant qualifications in commercial cookery.
* Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Assisting the kitchen team in maintain smooth and efficient kitchen operation.
* Ensure that meals are of high quality and prepared in a professional manner.
* Assist with portioning food, placing it on plates and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes.
* Prepare, season and cook food as directed, meeting dietary requirements where required.
* Baking and grilling meats-chicken, beef, lamb and making small require pieces and sizes using the freeze technique.
* Baking and grilling of meats following proper recipes.
* Washing and cutting of various kinds of vegetables and meats preparing a variety of appetizer, cuisines and salads.
* Regulates temperature of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment's.
* Filling the temperature sheet.
* Keeping work area clean and tidy.
