Inside Sales Representative – Locksmith & Access Solutions (Trade Specialist) | Oakleigh, Melbourne (Flexible / Hybrid options)

If you've spent years around locks, door hardware, or access solutions and want to use that knowledge in a different way, this role is built for you.

We are recruiting an Inside Sales Representative for our client. You'll be the go‐to specialist for locksmiths, security installers, and trade customers who rely on expert advice – not just catalogue numbers. Instead of being on the tools all day, you'll help others solve problems, choose the right products, and keep their own customers moving.

What you'll be doing
* Talking every day with locksmiths, security installers, and hardware partners who need someone who genuinely "speaks their language"
* Quickly understanding the customer's situation, leading purposeful conversations, and moving discussions confidently toward a clear outcome
* Using your hands‐on understanding of locks, door hardware, and access solutions to recommend the right products and combinations
* Working closely with Field Sales, Customer Service, and Technical Support to keep quotes, orders, and follow‐ups moving smoothly
* Keeping CRM and order information accurate and up to date so opportunities, issues, and trends are visible to the wider team

You'll be based out of Oakleigh, Melbourne, with flexibility in how and where the work is done, as long as service is consistent and relationships stay strong.

Who this role is really for

This is a niche, trade‐focused role. We're specifically interested in people with genuine proximity to the locksmith world, such as:

* Ex‐locksmiths or security technicians looking for a more consultative, phone‐based role
* Current or former locksmith apprentices ready to use their technical grounding in a commercial setting
* People who have worked closely with locksmiths or access control partners and understand what life on site is actually like

* Strong sales instincts and a hunter mindset – you're comfortable initiating conversations, uncovering opportunity, and progressing deals
* Confidence on the phone – you sound clear, composed, and commercial, and you're happy leading the conversation
* Attention to detail and discipline – you follow through, keep your notes and CRM up to date, and do what you say you'll do
