Electrical Supervisor – Fixed Plant Maintenance Department
Reporting to the Superintendent, Fixed Plant, the Electrical Supervisor leads planning and execution of underground electrical maintenance activities, ensuring safety, efficiency and compliance.
Responsibilities
* Lead planning and execution of underground electrical maintenance activities, ensuring safe, efficient and compliant operations.
* Coordinate preventive and predictive maintenance to optimise reliability and minimise downtime.
* Align daily activities with mine plans and schedules.
* Mentor, give feedback and train team members.
* Monitor safety compliance through audits and risk assessments.
* Collaborate with Planning, Reliability and Procurement to improve equipment performance and maintenance outcomes.
* Manage contractor performance and ensure maintenance specifications are met.
* Report KPIs and provide insights to senior leadership.
Qualifications
* Relevant electrical trade qualification with HV switching, supported by mining certifications or a relevant mining qualification.
* Strong experience coordinating electrical maintenance in a mining or similar environment.
* Sound understanding of underground maintenance practices and compliance requirements.
* Proven ability to plan, prioritise and allocate resources to meet operational targets.
* Demonstrated leadership in team development and safety performance.
* Effective communication and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams.
* Practical knowledge of mining operations, systems and safety protocols.
* Current Australian driver's licence.
* Mask fit ready.
Work Environment
* FIFO 8|6 roster (8 days on, 6 days off).
* Reside in a fully equipped accommodation village.
* Approved point‐of‐hire locations: Darwin, Alice Springs, Perth, Brisbane.

Location
Newmont Tanami is on Aboriginal freehold land 540km northwest of Alice Springs. It is a long‐life, low‐cost, world‐class asset in a core Newmont region. The Tanami Expansion 2 project aims to extend the mine life beyond 2040 by increasing production from 2.6 Mtpa to 3.2 Mtpa.
