Job Summary
We are seeking a professional, experienced and compassionate individual to fill the position of Practice Manager of a specialist Oncology/Haematology practice located within Flinders Private Hospital. Working with a close-knit and dedicated team of receptionists and medical staff, the successful applicant will be responsible for the leadership and co-ordination of the administrative, operational and financial aspects of the practice.

The Practice
Southern Oncology SA is private Oncology/Haematology practice located within Flinders Private Hospital.
Our practice hours are 8.00 – 5.00 Monday to Friday.
We have a team of 10 highly qualified and respected specialists who work across both the public and private sectors.
Responsibilities and Duties
Reporting to the directors of the business, your role will include:
* Overseeing the day-to-day operations across reception to ensure a positive patient experience
* Managing financials including billing (Eclipse, Medicare, DVA), receipting, accounts and payroll.
* Supporting and co-ordinating a small administration team with staff development, performance management and rostering
* Managing and co-ordinating appointments and leave for our medical team of 10 doctors
* Maintaining and reviewing policies and procedures to ensure compliance
* Partnering with the directors on practice growth, innovation and quality improvement.
Qualifications and skills
We are seeking a confident, detail-orientated and highly personable Practice Manager who loves what they do and is looking for a long-term position.
You will have:
* Proven experience as a Practice Manager in a specialist or medical setting, with at least 2 years' experience
* Strong administrative and organisational skills
* Proficiency in health fund and Medicare/DVA billing.
* Experience with invoicing, accounts and payroll (knowledge of Xero desirable)
* Experience using medical software (Zedmed ideal)
* Strong IT skills, with ability to troubleshoot problems
* Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
* A calm, adaptable approach to managing a busy clinical environment, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
* A focus on developing and maintaining a positive workplace culture
Desirable:
* Qualifications in healthcare or practice management
Additional Information:
* This position requires permanent working rights in Australia. We are unable to offer visa sponsorship.
* A valid police check will be required.
