Job Overview
We’re on the hunt for a qualified Light Vehicle Mechanic to join a respected independent workshop in Bendigo. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety in their day, thrives in a supportive team environment, and takes pride in delivering quality mechanical work across a broad range of vehicles.
Responsibilities
The workshop sees an average of 5–10 vehicles per day, offering steady, diverse work without the chaos. You'll be responsible for all aspects of mechanical repairs—from diagnostics and servicing to suspension, brakes, and engine work. This role is hands‑on and broad, making it ideal for someone who doesn’t want to be boxed into one specialty.
The position is full‑time, working Monday to Friday, with 2 hours of guaranteed overtime per week available.
We’re looking for someone who brings not just experience, but also the right mindset.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 2–3 years post‑qualification experience, ideally from an independent or franchise background rather than dealerships
- Solid diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Proficiency with scan tools and the confidence to work independently when needed
- A robust attitude, reliability, and a team‑oriented work ethic
- Flexibility to work on a wide range of makes and models
- Full Australian working rights
