Night Shift Produce Pick Packer & Order Processor
Total Food Network is a leading local fruit and vegetable wholesaler, proudly supplying Cairns' finest restaurants and cafes with the freshest produce. We're looking for a highly reliable and physically fit individual to join our operations team as an Early Morning Picker/Packer.
This role is essential to our business, ensuring our customers receive perfect, timely orders. It is a hands‑on role with early starts and requires someone who thrives on a challenge and an early finish.
The Role & Shift Details:
Hours: Approximately 30 hours per week, 3–5 days a week.
Start Times: 1:00 AM – 3:00 AM starts, finishing late morning.
Mandatory Shift: Saturdays (4:00 AM – 7:00 AM) is a required weekly set shift.
Key Responsibilities:
* Order Picking & Packing: Accurately pick fresh produce from our warehouse (requiring manual handling) according to specific customer orders.
* Order Entry: Input new customer orders into the system at the beginning of the shift (Computer Skills are essential ).
* Quality Control: Conduct visual inspections of all produce to ensure only the highest quality product is sent out.
* Warehouse Support: Assist with general warehouse duties, including preparing packaging and pallets.
* Cool Room Work: Regularly work within a cool room environment.
* Communication: Clearly communicate product requirements and stock issues with supervisors and team members.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
* Proven experience in the Fresh Food Sector or a similar fast‑paced warehouse/logistics environment.
* Exceptional Attention to Detail to ensure order accuracy.
* A Self‑Starter mentality—productive, motivated, and able to work effectively both supervised and independently.
* Demonstrable ability to achieve and maintain high food handling and hygiene standards .
* Physical Fitness for sustained manual handling and early morning work.
* Excellent Punctuality and reliability.
* A Forklift Licence is highly desirable.
* Must provide your own basic PPE: Enclosed Footwear and high‑visibility clothing are required at all times while on site.
