Overview
Chaplain – Wyndham Lodge (Werribee), part‐time 0.4 FTE, permanent position based at Wyndham Lodge in Werribee, Melbourne.
Responsibilities
Provide spiritual and pastoral support to residents, carers, families and staff, collaborating with the shared care team to respond to the diverse needs of clients. Work within the Chaplaincy and Spiritual Care team to deliver person‐centred spiritual care initiatives, lead Christian prayers, devotions and reflections, facilitate safe and welcoming spaces, and support Pastoral Care Volunteers.
Qualifications
* Tertiary qualifications in chaplaincy/pastoral care or tertiary theological qualifications with willingness to undertake chaplaincy/pastoral care specific training within the first 12 months.
* Experience in chaplaincy or pastoral care.
* Willingness to undergo a police check.

* Ability to recognise and meet spiritual and pastoral needs through design, delivery and evaluation of person‐centred care, following professional codes and standards.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to develop and maintain positive relationships and work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
* Capable of leading Christian prayers, devotions and reflections in line with BaptistCare's identity.
* Ability to create safe, welcoming spaces that foster community and belonging, treating all customers with equity, respect and dignity.
* Provide spiritual care that respects and values diversity of age, race, faith, culture, disability, gender, spirituality and sexuality.
* Manage, support and train Pastoral Care Volunteers.
* Maintain professional boundaries and pursue professional spiritual development aligned with Christian faith.

* Inspire and encourage others to grow in Christian faith and embody Christian values, especially in challenging situations.
* Integrate Christian theology and Biblical teaching into pastoral care sensitively and appropriately.
