Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and driven HR professional to join our team as a Senior Business Partner. This role will provide the opportunity to deliver people-focused outcomes that recognise and value our people as our most important asset.

We generate over $10 billion in Foreign Direct Investment; owning, operating or participating in mines across NSW, Queensland and Western Australia. Our organisation relies on both dragline and load haul systems for continuous operations. We employ approximately 1,450 people who reside in local and surrounding communities.


Job Tasks and Responsibilities

This role will involve partnering with operational leaders to deliver optimal people outcomes for our business. Key responsibilities include:

* Coaching and mentoring HR Team members to build team capability
* Influencing and driving cultural change initiatives across the operation
* Managing, negotiating and influencing positive Industrial Relations (IR) outcomes
* Leading and managing workplace investigations

This position is offered on a fixed-term contract for a 6-month period, with the possibility of extension.


Skills and Experience

* Relevant degree in Human Resource / Business / Law and/or related experience
* Minimum 5 years' HR generalist experience, preferably within Mining and/or Heavy industry
* Extensive IR exposure coupled with strong case management experience
* Ability to work collaboratively and proactively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes
* Advanced computer literacy – Microsoft Office suite and HRIS systems
