About the role:
We are seeking an experienced surveyor with a solid background in utility surveying with a proven understanding of Transport for NSW’s G73 Utility Investigation requirements.
Core responsibilities:
Planning, coordination, and execution of underground utility surveys
Carry out utility surveys in accordance with G73 specifications and AS5488
Interpret BYDA information and integrate with survey data
Manage data processing, quality assurance, and preparation of utility models and reports
Mentoring and training of staff
Liaise with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure accurate deliverables and compliance
Key requirements:
Surveying qualification (Diploma or Degree) or equivalent field experience
Previous experience on TfNSW or local council infrastructure projects
Demonstrated experience in utility surveying within NSW
Sound working knowledge of TfNSW G73 Utility Investigation specifications
Proficiency in AS5488 utility classification and survey standards
Strong knowledge of survey equipment and software
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel to project sites
Experience with GPR, EM locating, and other underground detection methods
Accreditation with recognised utility locating associations (e.g. NULCA)
