Lecturer Plumbing
Position No: SRL046.26P • Salary: $96,229 – $124,271 per annum. • Location: Albany. • Closing Date: Friday 29 May 2026 at 4:00pm (WST).
About the Role
The lecturer's primary role is to teach, facilitate learning, assess and mentor students in accordance with relevant curriculum and/or training package requirements. Lecturers also undertake professional activities related to delivery. To maintain quality educational services, lecturers keep abreast of technological and other developments in their field through professional development and provide up‐to‐date information and advice to the College and industry where appropriate.
Relevant Qualifications and Experience
* Cert III in Plumbing or equivalent and a minimum of five years' experience in the area of expertise.
* Minimum VET credential: Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122, TAE40116 or TAE40110) or a secondary teaching qualification with an Assessor Skill Set (TAESS00011, TAESS00019 or TAESS00024).
* Applicants who do not yet hold the minimum VET credentials must enrol in and complete an approved training and assessment credential within two years from commencement.
Other Conditions and Eligibility
* Employment subject to a satisfactory Department of Education criminal clearance.
* If the role involves contact with children, a Working with Children (WWC) card is required.
* Applicants for fixed‐term contract appointments must hold a working visa; permanent appointments require permanent residency.
* SR TAFE has a shutdown period of up to 12 working days over Christmas/New Year. Paid leave in advance or leave without pay during the shutdown period will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
