About the role
The Clinical Nurse/Midwife Specialist Grade 2 (CNS2) for the Substance Use in Pregnancy and Parenting Service (SUPPS) coordinates and delivers high-quality nursing care to patients/clients in the perinatal period when the use of substances (both illicit and prescribed) is an identified concern. This practice is in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia's National Standards of Practice for Registered Nurses, criteria for CN/MS2 as outlined in the Public Hospital Nurses and Midwives (State) Award, and the Policies and Procedure of the Ministry of (MoH) and Northern New South Wales Local Health District (NNSWLHD).
