Role Purpose
The successful candidate(s) will work with experienced consulting professionals and support the regional team in delivering a wide range of consulting mandates across the energy transition, oil, and mining value chains. The position requires the ability to problem‐solve and apply/develop industry knowledge to a broad range of strategic consulting projects and client situations.
Main Responsibilities
* Analysis: Support the consulting teams on a range of projects, operating sophisticated internal models and creating new analyses, contributing to the content and format of consulting presentations and reports, extracting data from internal and external sources.
* Demonstrate high standards of professionalism and attention to detail to ensure the highest quality analysis is delivered.
* Proactively take ownership of project workstreams and defend work to clients and peers in a coherent, credible, and authoritative manner.
* Thinking Creatively: Actively take part in brainstorming, offer solutions to challenges the status quo, suggest alternatives, and think "outside the box."
* Communication: Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills, establish good working relationships, keep client and internal teams informed of progress constantly, and present clearly and concisely.
* Managing Tasks: Plan and prioritize own workload to ensure project objectives and targets are met.
* Teamwork: Proven effective cross‐team working skills, working openly and trustingly across consulting, research, and sales teams; adopt a flexible approach toward work; support practice development and provide inputs to consulting best practice, offerings, and strategy.
About You – Knowledge And Experience
You should have a passion for delivering quality service to clients and thrive in a collaborative, commercial and client‐centric environment. You enjoy working as part of a project team where you can deepen industry knowledge and consulting skills. An understanding of the energy sector, industry dynamics, commercial operations, business models and strategies would be beneficial. Good analytical skills, strong attention to detail, competence in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and effective communication are required. Strong interpersonal skills, curiosity, and a commercial mindset are expected. The ability to work autonomously, meet deadlines, and adapt to changes is essential. Ideally, prior consulting experience in the energy sector, including valuation, corporate strategy, market entry strategy, and financial modelling, is desirable. A reputable Bachelor or Master qualification in a numerate subject is required. Knowledge of Mandarin or other Asian languages is an advantage.
