Elevation Secondary College is an evidence‐based school located in Melbourne's northern growth corridor, approximately 23 km from the city centre. The school serves the communities of Aston, Highlands Estates, Craigieburn, Greenvale and Mickleham. Opened in 2020, the campus now hosts over 1,300 students in Years 7‐12.
Core Responsibilities
* Provide administrative support to the front office team and HR Manager, including basic processing tasks and filing of documents in accordance with DE policies.
* Complete reception duties: answer phones and front‐desk queries.
* Attend to first‐aid duties and provide backup coverage when required.
* Manage and organise the annual whole‐school photo day.
* Perform other duties directed by the HR Manager, Office Manager, Business Manager or Principal.
HR Assistant Responsibilities
* Recruitment
o Maintain an up‐to‐date record of open positions and closures.
o Download candidate applications and coordinate interview bookings and panels.
o Request written references from referees.
o Support selection panels by setting up rooms, organising refreshments and ensuring documentation is completed, signed and filed in line with DET policy.
o Ensure Merit and Equity policy, DE HR policies and VSBA 2022 are adhered to throughout the recruitment process.
* Assist with recruitment timelines and provide support to the HR Manager during busy periods.
* Assist the HR and Business Manager in developing and maintaining staff administration guides.
* Manage staff personnel files:
o Request files for new staff members from previous DET schools.
o Ensure exited staff files are sent or archived correctly.
* Assist the HR Manager with basic processing tasks and filing of documents in line with DE policies.
* Perform any other duties directed by the HR Manager.
Other Responsibilities
* Provide backup first‐aid coverage when required.
* Perform other front‐office administrative duties as needed.
* Assist with duties directed by the HR Manager, Office Manager, Business Manager or Principal.
