Caterpillar currently has an opportunity for a **Territory Manager** in Melbourne, Australia. The position serves as sales liaison among dealers, customers and other Caterpillar personnel for rental related products and aftermarket sales within Australia, NZ and Asia Pacific region. **What You Will Do:** * Sole responsibility for sales of rental related products and aftermarket sales activity for the designated coverage territory, counseling dealers; providing guidance on existing and potential customer service issues and improvement measures for rental related products and aftermarket sales; assisting dealers on forecast, sales/rental/used strategy planning and sales techniques; supporting rollout of new products (eg., products, parts, customer service agreements, other service products); analyzing and communicating marketplace and competitive activity to Caterpillar personnel and dealers; analyzing product application, configuration and utilization that provide the best solution for a customer; assisting dealers with business planning for the designated territory; and creating and promoting programs that increase sales while maximizing price realisation.* Requires incumbent to keep current on customer/dealer market needs. Applies product and industry knowledge in support of Cat, dealer & customer expectations in both the short term and long-term horizons. Implements and delivers on global Cat rental team dealer and market strategy.* Work independently on assignments and collaboratively within Electric Power Division.
