An inclusive, family-owned organic avocado enterprise at Beechmont in south-east Queensland has a full-time position available for an Avocado Farm Manager. Located adjacent to the spectacular Lamington National Park in an area of outstanding natural beauty, this enterprise prioritises the health and wellbeing of the farm's two orchards to produce quality organic avocadoes for the domestic market.
Starting now, in this hands on position you will work in a coordinated and cooperative manner across all aspects of the orchard including liaising with consultants, customers, and employees, meeting the nutritional and irrigation requirements of the orchard, co-ordinating harvest and transportation of produce from farm gate sales to major packers and marketers, and carry out orchard machinery operation and machinery and general orchard maintenance. You will also be involved in orchard and infrastructure development, will manage orchard income and expenditure, and carry out ongoing record keeping to comply with QA and organic certification requirements.

Casual work is available for a partner with an interest in record keeping and quality assurance. It's a short drive to the local primary school and the school bus to your choice of high schools. DUTIES
- Manage orchards for optimum health and wellbeing

SKILLS & QUALITIES
- Previous experience in a similar position
- Or transferrable skills, a passion for growing things and an interest in organics
- Mechanical and general maintenance knowledge & skills
- Computing skills for record keeping
- Previous WHS, QA and NS Organics compliance preferred
- Manual driver's licence and own vehicle (for personal use)
- Upstanding character and physically fit
- Effective supervisory, communication and teamworking
