Royal Hobart Hospital is Tasmania's largest hospital, and the Cardiology Department within the RHH is the tertiary referral centre in Tasmania. The Role
The Cardiac Nurse Practitioner Service provides holistic care to ensure that patients have better access to specialised healthcare. As key members of the RHH Cardiology multidisciplinary team, they provide high quality, evidence based care to all Cardiology patients across Southern Tasmania. The Cardiac Nurse Practitioner provides post‐discharge follow‐up for heart failure inpatients, manages heart failure patients referred from GPs, general medical physicians and private practice. They support the prevention of secondary risk factors, particularly managing hypertension, hyperlipidaemia, valvular heart disease and arrhythmias.
You will need
* Endorsed Nurse Practitioner with extensive clinical experience and advanced clinical competencies, and extensive experience working in a senior capacity delivering services in a primary healthcare practice environment.
* Demonstrated advanced holistic nursing experience in clinical judgement by applying the principles of pathophysiology and the range of human sciences integral to the designated nursing practice area.
* Well developed, strong leadership skills with the ability to collaborate, educate/guide within inter‐professional teams and to consult, refer, liaise, and negotiate on complex professional clinical services and health systems issues.

Details of appointment
Permanent, part‐time day worker position, working 68 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. The hours will be negotiated with the successful applicant. Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full‐time, part‐time and casual vacancies.
Salary
$148,470 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12 % superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Salary range is in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023. In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available: Post Graduate Allowance of up to 7.5 % based on qualification type.

Eligibility
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria. Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and endorsed as a Nurse Practitioner.
