Voodoo Lounge is looking for an experienced Bar Manager to join our team. We are seeking someone confident, reliable and hands-on, with a minimum of 3 years' experience in hospitality, venue management, bars, clubs, nightlife or a similar fast-paced environment. The right person will be a strong leader with excellent communication skills, a great ability to train and support staff, and the confidence to manage a busy venue professionally. This role would suit someone who is driven to reach financial targets and has a strong understanding of stock control, including ordering, stocktake, wastage reduction, cost management and maintaining venue profitability. The role includes overseeing venue operations, shift management, staff training, customer service, compliance, venue presentation, stock control, cash handling, working towards financial targets and supporting the overall smooth running of Voodoo Lounge.
Applicants must be available to work nights, weekends and public holidays as required.
Responsibilities
* Oversee venue operations and shift management
* Manage staff training and provide ongoing coaching
* Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure compliance
* Maintain venue presentation and safety standards
* Monitor stock control, ordering, stocktake and wastage reduction
* Manage cash handling and contribute to achieving financial targets
* Support the overall smooth running of Voodoo Lounge
Requirements
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role
* Strong leadership and staff training skills
* Driven to achieve financial targets
* Strong understanding of stock control and cost management
* Confident managing busy shifts and fast-paced service
* Reliable, professional and well-presented
* Current driver's license and own transport
