Responsibilities
* Operate a 12‐tonne truck in compliance with BOC standards, regulations and policy.
* Complete daily and weekly inspections to ensure the vehicle is always fit for service, clean, presentable, and all documentation and safety equipment are up to date and in test.
* Timely delivery of paperwork and active cooperation with stakeholders.
* Cooperate with branch staff in servicing customers, completion of work, flexibility in responding to demand, and contributing to a positive workplace environment.
* Report compliance issues / out‐of‐service cylinders and conduct checks where required.
* Ensure all incidents are reported to the Branch Manager.
* Be safety‐conscious and abide by all regulations associated with the position.
* Liaise with customers in a professional manner at all times.
Qualifications
* Driving experience operating a Heavy Rigid (HR) vehicle with a clear driving history.
* Dangerous Goods handling certificate.
* Experience in a retail sales environment is highly advantageous.
* Strong focus on customer service.
* Excellent time‐management skills.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Industrial and safety equipment knowledge would be beneficial.
* Forklift licence will be highly regarded.
