You will play a pivotal role at maintaining and expanding customer relationships while working closely with the National Sales Manager. Manage a portfolio of customers, ensuring their satisfaction, and drive business growth through effective relationship management, product knowledge, and strategic planning.
**Responsibilities**
- Serve as the main point of contact for assigned customers, building solid, profitable and lasting relationships while working closely with the sales manager
- Understand customer needs, preferences, and objectives to provide tailored solutions and recommendations
- Regularly communicate with customers to address inquiries, provide updates, and gather feedback
- Ensure the timely and successful delivery of solutions according to customer needs and objectives, and work collaboratively with internal technical resources where required
- Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and rolling forecast and actuals)
- Maintain customer forecasts to ensure purchase plans are aligned with customer demand
- Prepare scheduled reporting on account status
- Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products based on customer needs and market trends and present to Sales Director on monthly / ad hoc basis
- Collaborate closely with the Sales Director and sales team to develop and execute strategies to expand the customer base
- Influencing and negotiating with customers and internal stakeholders at all levels to deliver on account imperatives
- Address customer concerns, resolve issues, and provide timely solutions to ensure customer satisfaction
- Collaborate with internal departments to assist to resolve any operational or logístical challenges
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of our product offerings, specifications, and market trends
- Stay up to date with industry developments to provide informed insights to customers (market, price information, crop details)
**Requirements**:
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated professional with a keen interest in the importing/wholesale industry. You will be a key player in driving the continued growth and success in the wholesale importing market.
- 1-2 years of experience in an Account Management/Sales or similar role - ideally in the wholesale industry but not a requirement
- Analytical and problem-solving ability with a proactive focus on results and workable solutions
- Exceptional negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Have positive energy and be interested in growing and learning
- Personable and professional
- Self-motivated; able to work independently
- Dedicated to building and maintaining internal and external relationships
- Proficiency in time management, multitasking and meeting deadlines
