An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Data Engineer to support the delivery of modern, scalable data solutions within a nationally significant organisation.
This role will play a key part in improving data accessibility, optimising enterprise data platforms, and enabling better business decision‐making through high‐quality data engineering practices.
Responsibilities
* Designing, developing and maintaining scalable data pipelines and enterprise data solutions
* Supporting data migration activities and reducing legacy data silos across the organisation
* Developing and optimising Power BI environments, datasets, dataflows and reporting services
* Working with Azure Data Factory, Databricks and Synapse Analytics to support large‐scale data processing
* Monitoring and troubleshooting data platforms to ensure system stability and performance
* Engaging with business stakeholders to translate data requirements into practical technical solutions
* Supporting data governance, data quality and ongoing continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications & Experience
* Strong experience in data engineering, data integration and enterprise data management
* Proficiency in Python, SQL and modern big data technologies such as Hadoop or Spark
* Hands‐on experience with Microsoft Fabric and Power BI administration and development
* Strong understanding of Azure data services including Azure Data Factory, Databricks and Synapse Analytics
* Experience developing and supporting ETL processes, APIs and data connectors
* Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non‐technical stakeholders
* Strong analytical, problem‐solving and stakeholder engagement skills with a proactive, service‐oriented approach
