Application Support Manager
At Torrens University Australia, a Certified B Corporation committed to using business for good, we are seeking an Application Support Manager to lead operational management of application support services and the L2 incident support function.
The role involves triaging, prioritising, and managing the application incident queue, routing tickets to managed service partners, and actively resolving L2 incidents. The candidate will spend about 50% of the time on hands‐on incident resolution while driving service improvement and incident reduction initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead application incident management and L2 support delivery.
* Own incident triage, prioritisation and routing to partners.
* Hands‐on resolution of L2 application support incidents across systems, integrations, and platforms.
* Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance business applications and databases.
* Manage routing and vendor dependency allocation.
* Collaborate with engineering, architecture, product and vendor teams.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce incident volume.
* Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge base.
Qualifications
* 6+ years in application support domain across front‐end, back‐end, DevOps, and QA.
* Proven success delivering enterprise‐grade software solutions in Agile/Scrum environments.
* Strong cross‐functional stakeholder engagement, vendor and risk management experience.
* System knowledge of applications detailed in Core Technical Competencies.
* Technical expertise in front‐end technologies, back‐end development, DevOps and integration solutions.
* 4+ years of full‐stack development experience.
* Experience with cloud‐native applications.
