About the Role
BMAs Hay Point Terminal is offering a Production Supervisor position to lead a production team. Reporting to the Superintendent Production, the supervisor will oversee daily production schedules, supervise crew, and ensure safe production in accordance with daily schedules. The role involves a permanent day shift roster (Mon‐Thur) or lifestyle roster.
Responsibilities
* Lead change and develop high‐performing crews.
* Demonstrate and instill commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility and sustainable development.
* Supervise execution of the weekly production schedule.
* Identify and implement improvement initiatives with support from Production Analysis and Improvement.
* Liaise with pilots, shipping agents and other personnel involved in ship handling and directly supervise onshore activities of vessel arrival and departure.
* Manage a small team of BMA and contract employees.
* Supervise minor civil works.
Qualifications
* Experience in the coal industry, preferably in port production (desirable but not essential).
* Strong understanding of supervisors' risk responsibilities and SHMS, with experience in facilitating risk management investigations.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to influence stakeholders, set direction, and gain agreement at all levels.
* Action‐oriented working style and accountability.
* Ability to obtain and retain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC).
