As the successful candidate, you will have:
3+ Years PAE in the area of Commercial Law and ideally derived from top-tier or mid-tier firms
Experience in and confidence running your own matters
A passion for fostering client-lawyer relationships with the businesses you advise
Experience with LEAP software (desirable)
Strong attention to detail

Our firm specialises in the areas of Commercial Law, Criminal Law, Disputes & Litigation, Family Law, Estate Planning & Estate Administration, Employment Law, SAT and Mediation, with our experienced and professional team spanning across three convenient locations.
As a result of an increased workload in our Commercial area, we are seeking an ambitious and driven individual with an appetite for Commercial matters, with the ability to build relationships with local businesses and contribute to the development of our firm's Commercial area.
The right individual will also have some experience attending court or otherwise be willing and able to attend court appearances for matters where necessary.
Working alongside the Principal and Senior Associate in the Commercial area, we are seeking an experienced Lawyer who is ready to hit the ground running.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Principal and working alongside one Senior Associate
A commitment to building your expertise and development
Demonstrating a proactive approach to matter intake
Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
Building client-lawyer relationships with local businesses and liaising efficiently with stakeholders as required
Drafting business agreements including but not limited to: shareholder agreements, share investment and sale agreements, partnership agreements, contractor agreements, licensing agreements, loan agreements and terms and conditions
Drafting leasing agreements such as: retail, commercial and industrial leases and variations and extensions of leases
Preparing property transaction documents such as: contracts of sale, mortgages, caveats and other land related applications as applicable
Preparation of trust deeds including discretionary family trusts and unit trusts
Attending to court appearances for litigious matters where necessary
Potentially some involvement in Employment Law matters
Maintaining a high level of confidentiality
