What You'll Be Doing

* Spend time with students during school hours in a busy but supportive environment.
* Help students build their confidence and catch up on schoolwork.
* Offer guidance, encouragement, and a positive outlook to help students reach their potential.
* Volunteers help students thrive by listening to reading, assisting in the classroom or working with small groups of students.

About you

* You care about children: A genuine desire to support and brighten the days of young students. You are approachable, understanding and patient.
* You enjoy connecting: Able to interact warmly with children, school staff, and fellow volunteers. You enjoy connecting with children from diverse backgrounds.
* You are a team player: Ready to collaborate and contribute to a dedicated team.
* You are reliable: Punctual and dependable, ensuring a consistent, listening ear for the students.
* You are happy to complete screening and training: We will support you to complete the screening checks and training modules we need to keep students safe.

Requirements

* A belief in young people's potential and a willingness to share your time and patience.
* No experience required - just enthusiasm, patience, and a genuine desire to help young people thrive.
* Reliability, but holidays are OK!
* We will assist you to get a Working with Children Check and Education Police Clearance.
