Chalfont is seeking an experienced Lead Penetration Tester for a major ICT capability development project supporting Australia's national security.
This is a critical role within a complex, fast-paced Defence environment5. You will join a specialist technical team responsible for designing, building, and testing crucial ICT systems for an advanced Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) Information Environment.
This is an initial 12-month contract with 2 x12 month potential extension options.
Mandatory Security Requirements
This is a high-security role. To be considered, you must meet the following criteria:
* Security Clearance: Hold a current Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) clearance as a minimum.
* Clearance Upgrade: Be willing to apply for an upgrade to a Positive Vetting (PV) security clearance within the first 12 months of engagement.
* Suitability Assessment: Be willing to undergo an Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA) within 12 months.
* Location: This role is based in Canberra ACT, and you must be able to work 5 days per week on-site.
About the Role
As the Lead Penetration Tester, you will be instrumental in securing critical infrastructure. Your work will focus on a gateway capability 15that ensures the secure collection, inspection, and transport of data across classified environments.
Key Duties:
* Conduct penetration testing of ICT applications and gateway infrastructure.
* Utilise a number of testing techniques, frameworks, and tools.
* Develop specific plans and procedures for penetration tests.
* Produce detailed penetration test reports, recording all approaches, techniques, and results.
* Recommend technical solutions to remediate identified vulnerabilities.
* Work ethically and adhere to agreed-upon penetration test guidelines and objectives.
Requirements:
* Essential: Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a complex, fast-paced environment. A strong background in the Defence or Federal Government sector is crucial for success.
* Desirable: Demonstrated experience with or knowledge of Australian Government information security policies.
* Desirable: Familiarity with key government security frameworks, such as the Information Security Manual and the Essential Eight.
