The Package:
$77,031.24 - $85,120.36 gross per annum + 12% super. (Evaluated as Grade 10 of the QPRC Salary System 2025).
Fulltime– 35 hours per week. Flexible work arrangements will be considered.
We're seeking a motivated professional to help protect the communities drinking water and manage trade waste from private properties. Ideal for a plumber moving off the tools or a trade waste officer seeking broader experience, this role combines fieldwork and office tasks with real impact on public and environmental health.
In this role you will:
* Provide high quality advice and guidance to the community.
* Help develop junior staff through demonstration of skills and on-the-job training.
* Conduct inspections, maintain records and support compliance activities.
* Prepare concise reports, correspondence and technical advice.
* Support field testing and respond to development-related referrals.
We are looking for someone who:
* Has experience and/or qualifications in plumbing or liquid trade waste management.
* Understands public and environmental health risks and applies appropriate controls.
* Communicates clearly with stakeholders and produces quality written advice.
* Can maintain a professional demeanour when dealing with the public.
* Is organised, safety-focused and confident using digital systems and field-based tools.
