About the role
Every successful project relies on clear, compliant contracts—and your job will be to ensure they meet the highest standards of governance and integrity. In this role, you'll oversee the frameworks that keep procurement accountable: maintaining tender and contract registers, guiding officers through procurement platforms, and preparing documentation that meets legislative and policy requirements. Your work will span every stage of the procurement lifecycle. You'll provide advice that keeps processes compliant, systems efficient, and outcomes delivering real value for the City. This role combines cost-effectiveness with rigorous compliance—so every decision maximises value for the City and stands up to audit and public scrutiny.
What you will be doing:
In this role, you'll focus on strengthening procurement governance and your responsibilities will include
* Champion procurement processes that meet legal, ethical and transparency standards.
* Guide and support staff through tendering and contract management with clear, practical advice.
* Maintain systems that support audit readiness and effective risk management
* Spot opportunities to improve procurement practices
* Prepare documentation that meets legislative and policy requirements.
* Contribute to governance initiatives, from policy updates to compliance training and reporting.
