Who are we looking for?
Our NSW Environmental Approvals team is dedicated to delivering sustainable solutions for state-significant projects in renewable energy, transport, water, and more. We are looking for an experienced Environmental Scientist with expertise in Approvals to bring expertise to innovative, high‑quality multidisciplinary projects and provide technical leadership within our skilled team in Sydney or Newcastle.
Responsibilities
- Project delivery, client management and technical leadership for complex environmental impact assessment and approvals projects across NSW.
- Leading and supporting multi-disciplinary teams by designing and coordinating studies and environmental assessments.
- Building strong, trusting relationships with our clients, regulatory agencies and key stakeholders to encourage collaborative engagement to support successful outcomes.
- Supporting business planning and strategic decision‑making, while seeking out new project opportunities, preparing proposals and converting leads into current business.
- Preparing technical reports, and supporting the growth of our team’s technical capability through mentoring and technical reviews.
What You Will Bring To The Team
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science or Urban Planning.
- Over 8 years of professional experience in a consulting environment.
- Expertise in design, coordination, strategy and management of environmental impact assessment studies and regulatory approvals applications.
- Strong knowledge of NSW and Commonwealth environmental legislation and planning policy.
- Demonstrated experience in leading or contributing to multidisciplinary projects, business development, networking and client relationship management.
