The Opportunity
We are seeking an outstanding Head of Secondary (Years 7 – 12) to lead our flourishing Secondary School. This pivotal leadership role brings together strong Christian leadership, educational expertise and relational influence, shaping a culture where faith, learning and wellbeing are held together with purpose.
The Head of Secondary is an Executive Leadership position that works closely with the Principal and senior leaders and is responsible for the strategic, educational, pastoral, and operational leadership of the Secondary School. As leader of the Secondary Leadership Team, the Head of Secondary provides visionary and relational leadership that promotes excellence in Christian education, fosters a culture of high expectations and care and ensures the ongoing growth, improvement, and sustainability of the Secondary School.
Key Responsibilities
Contribute strategically to the overall direction and future growth of the College as a member of the Executive Leadership Team.
Lead a vibrant Secondary community with a strong focus on academic excellence, culture, and strategic future growth.
Foster a culture of high expectations, accountability, care, and continuous improvement.
Partner authentically with families, staff, and the wider community.
Shape and sustain a compelling vision for excellence in teaching and learning.
Lead curriculum innovation, pedagogical improvement, and evidence‐based practice to maximise student outcomes with the support of the Dean of Learning and Teaching – Secondary.
Oversee student wellbeing systems that support holistic development and pastoral care with the support of the Dean of Students – Secondary.
Ensure effective systems, structures, and processes support the smooth day‐to‐day operation of the Secondary School with the support of the Dean of Administration – Secondary.
Build staff capability through intentional coaching, mentoring, professional development, and performance leadership.
About You
You are a relational, visionary, and grounded Christian leader with a deep commitment to young people, staff development, and educational excellence.
You bring a personal faith in Jesus Christ, demonstrated through a Christ‐centred lifestyle and active involvement in a local church.
Qualifications and experience
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Education.
Current TRBWA registration.
WWCC.
High level of experience within a Secondary School environment.
Experience in Christian education is highly desirable.
