Role Overview
Join a long‐term Engineering business as a CNC Machinist / CAM Programmer. You will operate and maintain Okuma twin‐spindle horizontal lathe machines, machine complex parts, and upskilling existing staff under the guidance of the production manager.
Responsibilities
* Operate and look after Okuma horizontal lathes and other CNC equipment.
* Program and machine high‐end components in both ferrous and non‐ferrous materials.
* Assist in upskilling current staff and provide technical support.
* Report to the production manager and work closely with the team.
Qualifications
* Trade qualifications.
* Experience operating Okuma horizontal lathes (twin‐spindle, multi‐tasking).
* Proficiency in Mastercam (or equivalent) programming.
* Experience machining complex parts from both ferrous and non‐ferrous materials.
* High attention to detail and strong communication skills (verbal and written).
* Versatile and able to handle varied tasks throughout the day.
