About the role
The Rockingham Aquatic Centre is seasonal facility open to thepublic from mid-August to mid-April, located on Council Avenue inRockingham. This position acts as a full-time duty supervisor oversummer and you need to be available to work shifts on mornings,evenings, weekends and public holidays. During the summer thefacility is well patronised by the local Rockingham community dueto its extensive landscaped gardens and shady grassed areas.
We are looking for someone with experience in leading teams andactivating aquatic areas. You will love interacting withmembers, patrons, staff and the wider community in making a safeand fun environment for everyone. You possess detailedknowledge of aquatic emergency and evacuation procedures,experience with life support equipment and are able to remain calmduring stressful situations. You are an excellent communicator andhave well developed interpersonal skills.
You must possess a current Pool Operators Certificate, LIWAAccreditation, Pool Lifeguard Certificate, Self-Contained BreathingApparatus and Chlorine Gas Handling Training and an up to dateProvide First Aid Certificate.
To be considered for this role, you must address thefollowing selection criteria when completing your onlineapplication:
* Experience in a leadership position in an Aquatic Facilitywithin Local Government setting.
* Extensive knowledge and experience in managing plant rooms,water balance, emergency evacuation, safe handling and storageof chemicals.
* Experience planning, promoting and executing events andactivities for the community.
* Demonstrated experience in managing customer relationshipswith members, patrons, schools, clubs and external groups
We are offering a gross annual salary of$94,367 plus superannuation
