What we are looking for:
We're seeking a proactive and technically skilled Civil Infrastructure Asset Coordinator to lead the planning and delivery of asset inspection programs and capital works development—primarily focused on stormwater and drainage infrastructure. This role plays a key part in shaping long-term asset strategies and ensuring efficient, cost-effective services across our civil infrastructure portfolio.
What your day will look like:
* Coordinate civil infrastructure asset inspections, including data capture, condition assessment, and risk analysis
* Lead development of capital works projects for stormwater and drainage assets
* Contribute to Asset Management Plans across roads, transport, coastal, and riverine assets
* Support internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality, cost-effective asset management programs
* Manage project milestones, budgets, and reporting
* Provide engineering advice and mentor junior staff
* Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and Council policies
* Liaise with internal teams, external consultants, and the community

About You
You're a confident coordinator with strong technical knowledge in civil infrastructure and a collaborative mindset. You bring experience in asset management planning, project delivery, and stakeholder engagement, and you're ready to make a meaningful impact.
What you'll need for success:
* Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent tertiary qualifications plus relevant experience
* Experience in preparing infrastructure plans, policy, and procedures as these relate to transport, stormwater and/or coastal assets or similar.
* Experience in project management, including practical experience in the preparation of briefs, procurement, and management of major projects.
* Skills in asset management and developing Level of Service.
* High level of interpersonal and oral communication skills with the ability to relate at the appropriate level to Council, senior manager, staff, external contractors, and community representatives.
* High-level negotiation skills with a proven ability to resolve complex problems and deliver effective, Council-aligned outcomes.
* Current QLD Class C Driver's Licence
