Our activities team are called Personal Carers & Engagement who are highly interactive supporting our elderly residents everyday across Morning and Afternoon activity schedules. This role based at Southern Gold Coast care home Tweed Aged Care Home | Northern Rivers NSW & Gold Coast QLD will see you surrounded by highly skilled and supportive senior carers and managers when performing the daily resident-centric activities in a timely, patient and compassionate manner. The attached position description outlines duties and accountabilities for this role, note "Lifestyle" is what is this role is commonly called in the Aged Care sector.
About You
At Infinite Care our best people are highly empathic, instil a strong work ethic, ability to “think on your feet", communicate well, build rapport quickly and maintain professional relationships so ideally these qualities have been developed through your working experience. In addition, you will also
- Worked with elderly persons in related personal training, group movement classes and/or rehabilitation activities that foster safe activities to restore positive health outcomes. You are passionate about working with elderly persons, offer a compassionate, high empathy and caring personality that brings happiness and joy to your clients in a respectful and safe manner at all times.
- You might have a related qualification in fitness, health or related healthcare field, the lifestyle qualification is also eligible is called a Certificate IV in Leisure and Health.
- Excellent safety awareness to avoid clients tripping, falling or hurting themselves - you need to be their extra eyes and ears!
- Very positive teamwork attitude, a trusted co-worker, excellent time management (we are a shift driven workplace including handovers) and always follow strict safety procedures to maintain a high standard of workplace safety.
- Hold the NDIS Workers Screening Clearance as this is essential to work in the Aged Care sector (*or willingness to obtain)

- Display a positive, fun and confident personality to help our residents (who sometime can be very shy) to get involved in lifestyle and group activities.

Our care roles are busy! Alot of bending, lifting, pushing and squatting to perform your duties safely. All candidates will be required to complete an online medical assessment to maintain personal and workplace safety standards.
