About the Role
This is a rare opportunity to join a small, high‐impact exploration team delivering well‐funded Greenfields programs with genuine discovery potential.
As a Project Geologist – Exploration, you will play a key role across fieldwork, technical interpretation and operational coordination, contributing to the advancement of exploration activities around the Cloncurry region.
This role offers exceptional breadth and visibility, with exposure to the full exploration lifecycle and close collaboration with senior leadership. You'll be empowered to take initiative, whether that's supporting field delivery, managing logistics, engaging with stakeholders, or contributing to exploration strategy.
Responsibilities
* Supporting the planning and delivery of exploration programs, including mapping, sampling and drilling.
* Interpreting geological, geochemical and geophysical data to generate and refine targets.
* Building and maintaining geological models and contributing to exploration strategy.
* Assisting with field operations, including contractor coordination and logistics.
* Managing and utilising exploration data, ensuring quality and accuracy.
* Supporting land access and building stakeholder relationships.
About You
You are a capable and motivated exploration geologist ready to step into a broader, more impactful role. You enjoy being hands‐on in the field but are equally comfortable contributing to interpretation, planning and operational delivery.
Key Qualities
* Tertiary qualification in Geology (Honours preferred).
* Minimum of 4 years' experience in exploration or resource definition.
* Experience with gold and/or copper systems, ideally across varied geological environments.
* Strong skills in geological interpretation, target generation and data analysis.
* Experience supporting or leading exploration programs, including drilling and field activities.
* Familiarity with key industry software (e.g., Leapfrog, GIS, acQuire, ioGAS or similar).
* A proactive, self‐sufficient approach with the ability to work effectively in a lean team.
* Strong communication and relationship‐building skills, including engagement with landholders and stakeholders.
* A genuine passion for exploration, with curiosity, initiative and a desire to keep learning.
