An exciting opportunity has become available to join the Waste and Natural Resources Department of Forbes Shire Council as the Weed Control Officer.
Reporting directly to the Manager of Waste and Natural Resources, the role requires developing a working knowledge of the legislative and regulatory requirements related to weed management to achieve compliance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures. The incumbent will implement the weed spraying program on behalf of Forbes Shire Council and the community.
The successful candidate will work independently and as part of a team to achieve timely and appropriate outcomes in this critical area of Council control.
Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements related to weed management.
* Implement the weed spraying program in compliance with council policies and procedures.
* Work independently and collaboratively with the team to achieve timely outcomes.
* Provide accurate reporting and documentation related to weed control activities.
