Contract Counsellor – Indigenous Support Services – Family Violence/Sexual Assault Counsellor

Role Overview
Providing therapeutic case management and counselling to children, young people, adults, families and/or carers in the area of sexual assault, family violence, abuse and inappropriate or harmful sexual behaviours. Provision of individual counselling and support as negotiated with Service Users, using a flexible approach that may integrate therapeutic work, advocacy, psychoeducation, protective behaviours and safety‐planning.

* Integrate therapeutic work, advocacy, psychoeducation, protective behaviours and safety‐planning
Qualifications & Experience
* Relevant qualification in Counselling, Social Work or Mental Health
* Stable employment history
* Valid WWCC (Working With Children Check)
* Sensitive to Indigenous and Torres Strait Islander culture and families
* Experience with Indigenous families, women, youth, mothers, trauma

Contract Terms
