The
Manufacturing Operations and Project Officer
will support the Contract in delivering AdvM projects, Engineering Change Proposals and Innovations for JLU(V).
This role involves leading technically complex projects and providing high level advice on complex technical issues in manufacturing, machining, fabrication, assembly and testing of prototype and re-design products.
This is a Permanent Full Time position, paying between $110,000 and $115,000 package (inc. Super) dependent on experience, based at the
Bandiana
Defence base.
Other Duties
Primary POC for internal and external stakeholders for established projects.
Ensure safety and technical requirements are met during the project concept stage and are incorporated into technical data, publications, drawings and modelling activities.
The candidate will be able to draft, review and submit design packages, identify risks and appropriate mitigations, and provide advice and recommendations to decision makers.
Interpret technical diagrams and instructions to ensure compliance with regulatory and legislative requirements.
Manage maintenance data on workshop machinery for scheduling preventative maintenance.
Manage procurement and material certification.
Manage quoting and variations.
Skills and Experience
Preferred to hold an Australian Qualification Framework Certificate III in either mechanical engineering, maintenance/fitter machinist, or electronic technician.
Experience in planning/scheduling, in a fabrication/maintenance environment is desirable.
Project experience desirable.
SAP experience desirable.
Effective written and oral communication skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Read and interpret engineering drawings.
You must be an Australian Citizen and have the ability to complete a medical and Federal Police check as per the contractual requirements and be eligible to attain and maintain NV1.
