Concrete Cutting Scheduler / Operations Manager
A supported step into leadership for an experienced cutter or supervisor.
This role suits someone with strong technical understanding of concrete cutting who wants to move into planning, coordination, and operational oversight while still remaining hands-on with guidance, training, and ongoing support. You are not expected to walk in and run everything alone - we will step you into the role properly.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in planning and scheduling daily and weekly concrete cutting works.
* Allocate crews, vehicles, and equipment to meet program requirements.
* Communicate with clients, supervisors, and staff to confirm job details.
* Coordinate safety documentation, inductions, and job-specific paperwork.
* Assist with estimation and quotes for concrete cutting components of demolition projects and concrete cutting projects.
* Support the monitoring of project progress, resource usage, and job costs.
* Maintain relationships with suppliers and assist with inventory management.
* Contribute to toolbox meetings and team development.
* Organise yard, equipment, consumables, and vehicles.
* Be mechanically handy with day-to-day tasks (blades, rollers, hoses, general upkeep).
* Assist with demolition activities linked to cutting requirements.
* Coordinate delivery/collection of equipment and consumables.
* Ensure equipment servicing schedules are followed.
* Support new staff onboarding and training.
* Review job scopes and assist in preparation of job plans.
* Help ensure clean, consistent communication across teams.
Requirements
* Strong understanding of concrete cutting methods and equipment.
* Competent computer skills.
* Customer-focused with clear communication skills.
* Good organisational ability and attention to detail.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with support.
* Mechanically capable with day-to-day equipment tasks.
* Ability to assist with demolition activities when required.
* Understanding of workplace safety and documentation.
* Current driver's licence (MR/HR desirable), White Card, Demolition Ticket (preferred)
* Positive attitude and willingness to grow into the leadership aspects of the role.
