THE ROLE
We are currently seeking values-driven Trainers to plan, develop and facilitate a holistic education and support program for students. Trainers who will assist us to deliver training across the Mid North Coast
These roles will specifically ensure that students: are successfully engaged with education; are supported to develop positive aspirations that enable independent futures; and have good practice learning principles and standards being implemented throughout their study programs.
This role is not to Train and Assess in the Cert III Individual Support. It is to Train and Assess in a variety of other Training packages but with relevance to the Care Sector
We are keen To grow our classes in Port Macquarie and Taree
Roles and Responsibilities: (included but not limited to)
- Develop and conduct training sessions.
- Participate and contribute to validation and moderation sessions.
- Train and Assess students from different cultural background and provide feedback in timely manner.
- Keep a record of student’s assessments, marking assessments and attendance.
- Work in a timely manner while considering the deadlines.
- Maintain, develop and modify learning resources and assessment tools as required.
- Participate in industry consultation activities and new programs as required.
- Lead and participate in excursions program as needed.
Other key responsibilities include:
- Re-engagement and ongoing engagement of students requiring special assistance.
- Deliver learning and teaching programs that are effective, inclusive and considered best practice for working with young people in an alternative education setting.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team inclusive of youth workers, volunteer support staff
Skills and Experience:
- Qualifications min Cert 111 Business / Community Services or willing to obtain .
- Min Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent) including (TAELLN411) or are currently enrolled in the qualification or are willing to obtain .
- Experience in the care sector
- Experience in delivering VET programs or keen to learn.
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal.
- Effective people skills
- Good computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Experience in Learning Management Systems/Databases or willingness to train.
- Current NSW Drivers Licence.
- Proof of Eligibility to Work in Australia for those applicants on a VISA.
- meet vaccination requirements to meet mandatory work placement needs in the Health and Care sector.
HOURS AND SALARY
We are offering a range of options: part time 22.8 hours per week ongoing, 3 days per week (days negotiable) or casual semester-based contracts. Full time considered if eligible to deliver multiple training packages and campuses or outreach support
Conditions of employment are in accordance with Educational Services Post Secondary Award 2010. Salary Level will be dependent on qualifications and experience.
