We are looking for experienced, reliable and empathetic Support Worker who want to make a difference by supporting our participants in achieving their goals and living their best life.
We Empower is looking for support workers in Bacchus Marsh and surrounding areas.
The role may involve:
* Assistance with community access and recreational activities
* Personal care (Personal hygiene assistance)
* Transportation and supporting social engagement
* Light domestic duties such as meal preparation and cleaning
* Transfer using sling hoist
Our ideal candidate will have:
* Professional or lived experience supporting someone with a disability
* Experience supporting people with Mental Health and Complex Behaviours
* Flexible availability & a long-term commitment to We Empower.
Essential criteria:
* An understanding of the disability/community services sector and person-centred support
* Transferable life/work skills along with a caring and compassionate approach
* A valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle
* NDIS Worker Screening Check
* The legal right to work in Australia
* Excellent communication skills
* A genuine interest in the wellbeing & inclusion of people with disabilities
Job Type: Casual
Pay: $37.00 – $58.30 per hour
Work Location: In person
